  • Worshipping Through Movement

    In this class, we will explore the spiritual and scriptural significance of incorporating dance into our worship services. Focusing more on the improvisational aspect of dance and less on the performance, this class invites movers of all levels and abilities to tap into dancing with the Spirit, through the Spirit, and by the Spirit. We’ll look at key scripture that invites dancing into praise and worship, how dance can be used as a prayer language, and how movement can be used to bring yourself and others closer in intimacy with Jesus. No prior dance experience is needed, just a heart ready to move and worship!

  • Choreographing Through Scripture

    Do you ever find yourself repeating choreographic habits when you’re creating dances at your corps or for your division? Do you tend to rely heavily on the lyrics of a song to influence your choreography? Or do you find that you have no idea where to start when choreographing a dance? Well, you’re in luck because in “Choreographing through Scripture,” we will learn foundational choreographic tools that can be used to create dances that directly reflect the Gospel, making the stories throughout Scripture come to life. Digging deeper into scripture verses and biblical context, movers or creatives of any type are invited to make the Gospel come to life through movement and creative expression. No prior dance experience is required, just a willingness to learn!
